Julie is an Orthodontic Technician who has worked in the orthodontic field for fifteen years. She joined Dr. Hickman’s practice in 2002 and enjoys seeing the transformation her patients make as they go through their treatment. She loves to spend time with her husband Erik, her daughter Alex and her son Josh. In her free time, she enjoys photography, wood working, the outdoors and playing with her dog Tequila and cats Salem, tweek and Lucy.
Desiree is an Orthodontic Technician who joined the team in 2008. She has worked in orthodontics for three years and finds it to be a dream-come-true. When she was in grade school, she and her friends made "pretend retainers and braces." Her junior year of high school, she attended the Ohio Valley Career and Technology Center to become a Health Career Technician. She later attended the Institute of Medical and Dental Technology where she trained as a Dental Assistant. Desiree finds it rewarding to know that she serves a large part in helping patients have a beautiful smile. In her spare time, she also enjoys softball, basketball, painting and drawing.
Beth is our Insurance Accounts Administrator. She rejoined our practice two years ago after taking time off to raise her children. Beth works to get a patient’s account set-up for payment from insurance companies. She enjoys seeing the smiling faces of our patients after they get their braces off. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, horses, volleyball and studying science.
Shirley is a Laboratory Technician who has worked in orthodontics for over ten years. She joined our practice last year and has contributed greatly with lab work as well as orthodontic assisting. She is a graduate of the Institute of Medical and Dental Technology and is married with three children. Her oldest, Kendra, also works part-time in our practice as a Sterilization Technician. Shirley enjoys taking her son to soccer and going to "dance" with her youngest daughter.
Dawn is an Orthodontic Technician who has worked in orthodontics for the past nine years. She joined our practice just this year and also brings valuable experience as a Laboratory Technician. Dawn and her husband Jason are from Union Township. They have a beautiful 4 year-old daughter named Olivia and an American Bulldog named Otis. Dawn is excited about our patients’ treatment and eager to contribute to her new team.
Sharon is our Patient Coordinator and has worked in orthodontics since 1996. She has been married to her husband Jim for 37 years. She has 3 children and 3 grandchildren. During her spare time she enjoys gardening and going for rides on thier Harley. She is looking forward meeting and educating patients and their families.
Jennifer is a Registered Dental Hygienist and 2000 graduate of University of Cincinnati. The way a beautiful smile can change a patient’s self-esteem is amazing and truly makes working at this office everyday enjoyable. “Our office is a very open atmosphere, with fun and work co-existing. We try very hard to make every patient feel at home, and at ease because their treatment is what keeps up the excitement in our jobs. Jennifer’s family includes her husband Ryan, and kids Brady, Bailey and Cameron.
